This delicate charm necklace features a genuine Roman Mars coin from 103 B.C. set with a 14k gold pronged setting.
MARS is the Roman god of war as well as an agricultural guardian. He represents military power used as a means of restoring peace. He is the son of Jupiter and Juno. Between his love affair with the goddess Venus (believed to be the maternal ancestor of the Romans) as well as having fathered of Romulus & Remus (said to be the founders of Rome), he was believed to be the paternal ancestor of the Roman people.
