14k Gold Genuine Ancient Roman Coin Necklace (Maximinus Il 310-313 A.D.)

This delicate charm necklace features a genuine Roman Maximinus II coin from 310-313 A.D. set in a 14k gold bezel setting (reversible).

MAXIMINUS II - while originally a peasant, his accomplishments in the army led him to be adopted by his maternal uncle (and previous caesar, Galerius). He was then given the rank of Caesar with the governments of Syria and Aegyptus.

GENIO AVGVSTI - the version of Genius that stood as the guardian spirit of the emperor. GENIUS was the Roman version of a guardian angel/conscience. Seen as a creature between god and man status, GENII were assigned to people at birth; and everyone had a good and bad one. They would hand you over to the gods at the end of your life.
