This delicate charm necklace features a genuine Roman Liber coin from around 78-75 B.C. set in a 14k gold pronged setting.

LIBER - The Native Italian Roman equivalent of the Greek God, Dionysus, and stood for freedom, wine, and male fertility. Libera (shown on the reverse) stands for the female counterpart. They were often shown together. Their festival called Liberalia was a coming of age festival that occurred every March. Both Liber & Libera were patrons of the plebeian class, the everyday people of Rome.
