TURQUOISE got its name from early trade routes - Europeans ended up getting the stone from the Turkish bazaars. Turquoise has been a prominent stone throughout most cultures for thousands of years. It is seen as a symbol of wisdom and nobility.
MALI CLAY BEADS: These oblong beads are found in multitudes across Mali and are anywhere from about 50 to 500 years old. They were believed to be formed by hand and hardened by sun-baking; but it's impossible to determine exactly when they were made.
