AMMONITE: Ammonites are the fossils of sea mollusks who lived 65 million years ago and went extinct about the same time as the dinosaurs. The fossils are characterized by their spiral shape; and are fairly plentiful in sedimentary rock from that time period.
PIETERSITE: this stone is known as the "Tempest Stone" due to its swirling mix of orange-red and blue colors. The stone itself is mostly a composite of Tiger's Eye and Hawk's Eye; and was discovered in Namibia in 1962.
PYRITE (also known as Fool's Gold) is a symbol of warmth, and was popularly used in talismans for protection - believed to help in shielding against negative energies.
