Galerius I - A tetrarch caesar ruling under Maximinus, Galerius' capital was in Sirmium, Serbia.  He is best known for his key role in the "Great Persecution".  He stopped the persecution of Christians under the stipulation that they prayed for him to recover from a sever illness he was suffering from.
