AZURITE's name comes from the Persian word for blue. The stone itself ranges in color from royal blue to medium green. It was the stone used in Ancient Egypt to create the blue Eye of Horus - a talisman of protection. Ground Azurite was also used to paint the blue robes of Mary in many early Christian paintings.
DIAMONDS: known as the "stone of invincibility" (due to its hardness as a stone), diamonds are symbols of victory and the superior strength (physical, emotional, mental) of the wearer. Diamonds have also been referred to as the "king of gems", being the hardest known natural substance as well as its superior light reflective abilities.
CHRYSOCOLLA is a copper ore semiprecious gemstone usually found in copper deposits. It is many times mistaken for turquoise or azurite, and can be found mixed with turquoise, azurite, and malachite. Chrysocolla is a stone of communication, symbolizing expression, teaching, and wisdom (especially in women).
