** PLEASE NOTE: This is the exact coin you will receive! As all of these ancient coins were made by hand (and have aged about 1700 years), they all have unique shapes and printings; and are therefore one of a kind. I have included a link to the rest of our ancient coin necklaces below!

Maximinus II - while originally a peasant, his accomplishments in the army led him to be "adopted" by his maternal uncle (and previous caesar, Galerius).  He was then given the rank of Caesar with the governments of Syria and Aegyptus.  Later named "sons of the Augusti" alongside Constantine the Great.

Reverse shows Genius pouring donations from a patera (bowl/dish used in religious ceremonies) in his left hand, draped in a chlamys, and holding a cornucopia in his right hand.  GENIUS was basically the Roman version of a guardian angel/conscience.  Seen as a creature between god and man status, GENII were assigned to people at birth; and everyone had a good and bad one.  They would hand you over to the gods at the end of your life.

*** NOTE: Necklace comes with a card of authenticity and the explanation of what the coin is.
