** PLEASE NOTE: This is the exact coin you will receive! As all of these ancient coins were made by hand (and have aged about 1700 years), they all have unique shapes and printings; and are therefore one of a kind. I have included a link to the rest of our ancient coin necklaces below!
Constantine the Great - He was best known for being the first Christian Roman Emperor. He turned the city of Byzantium into the new Roman capital, renaming it Constantinople (present day Istanbul). It would remain the capital for a thousand years.
Sol (Back): Depicts Sol (the sun god) wearing his spiked crown and holding a globe (the cosmos, not Earth) in his left hand with his right raised upwards. It is meant to depict the god Sol as handing the Cosmos (with Earth in the center) to Constantine, thereby granting him to power to rule over all. Constantine had coins depicting Sol minted from about 310-318 AD (for a more accurate age).
