This delicate charm necklace features a genuine Byzantine Justinian I solidus coin from 538-545 A.D. set in a 14k gold setting.

JUSTINIAN I was the Eastern Roman Emperor (Byzantine Emperor) from 525-565 AD. He is best known for his creation of Justinian Code - the unification of all law in a single written text, and is still the basis for most civil law today. His focus was the restoration of Europe, and many historians consider him the Last Roman Emperor. The Eastern Orthodox Church call him "Saint Justinian the Great".
