14k Gold Genuine Ancient Roman Coin Necklace (Apollo Veiovis; 84 B.C.)
14k Gold Genuine Ancient Roman Coin Necklace (Apollo Veiovis; 84 B.C.)
This delicate charm necklace features a genuine Ancient Roman Denarius Apollo Veiovis coin from 84 B.C. set with a solid 14k yellow gold bezel setting.
APOLLO VEIOVIS - Veiovis was an early Roman god of contested origin and purpose, who is currently referred to as a very mysterious figure. He has been thought to be a young Jupiter; yet his imagery was also depicted commonly (as it is here) very similarly associated with Apollo. Although associated with both destruction and healing, he is currently thought to most likely have been a "God of Expiation" (atonement and forgiveness) and protector of criminals.
MINERVA was the goddess of wisdom, war, art, schools, and justice. She's the Etruscan version of Athena.
