This delicate charm necklace features a genuine Roman Licinius coin set with a four-prong setting (reversible - photos 1 & 2). From around 308-324 A.D., this coin has made quite the journey to get here! The coin rests on a 22kt Gold Vermeil (90% Gold) over Sterling snake chain perfect everyday wear.

Licinius - Otherwise known as Flavius Galerius Valerius Licinianus Licinius (rolls right off the tongue), he accompanied Emperor Galerius on a Persian Expedition in 297. He was later given command over what was formerly the Western Half of the Roman Empire. The VOX XX on the back means Votis Vicennalibus, and states that Licinius had completed the prayers and sacrifices necessary for 20 years of rule.
