Sodalite Skull Necklace

125.00

It's pretty rare that you'd be able to say that a skull necklace is elegant, but rare is what we like to do!! This piece features a Nepalese hand-carved Skull Pendant hanging from Sodalite and Pyrite stones that I hand-knotted at a length that looks great hanging long as well as double wrapped for a short, statement necklace.

  • Necklace Length: 35 inches
  • Pendant: 2.25 inches long

SODALITE is known for its deep blue color reminiscent of Lapis Lazuli with some white veining throughout (less white = higher quality). A fairly recent discovery, this gemstone was first found in Greenland in the early 1800's. Sodalite is said to be a soothing and calming stone and is also believed to protect against negative energy.

SKULLS - skulls are very prominent in Buddhist and Tibetan culture. Unlike many other cultures, skulls do not signify death or personal loss or tragedy, but emptiness. In other words, a skull is worn to remind you that the events in life that you experience have no inherent meaning - you prescribe meaning to things we experience.
