Constantine the Great - He was best known for being the first Christian Roman Emperor.  He turned the city of Byzantium into the new Roman capital, renaming it Constantinople (present day Istanbul). It would remain the capital for a thousand years.  Front says IMP CONSTANTINVS PF AVG, translated: "Commander in Chief Constantine I, Dutiful and Wise Emperor".

Victory (Back): Shows two winged Victories (Nikes) standing face-to-face with the words VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP ("To the Joyful Victories of Our Emperors Forever") around the top.  They stand around an alter above which it says VOT PR ("Vows of the People of Rome" - the annual vows of loyalty to the Emperor).  These coins were minted 318-319 AD.

*** NOTE: Necklace comes with a card of authenticity and the explanation of what the coin is.
